Hi. I’m Jim. I’m fine how are you These things are true: I’ve published lots of thriller novels and started many failed podcasts, but this channel is mostly about TTRPGs like D&D. Also my thoughts on movies and tv shows.

Vonnegut once said that you are what you pretend to be and I feel like that's never been more relevant than today

Rewatched two tarantino movies: Hateful 8 and Inglorious Basterds. H8 is much better than I remember. One of his best.

Basterds is still just masturbatory. When Bradd Pitt looks directly to camera to say "this might be my masterpiece" = eye roll. Yes, Quentin. We know how smart you think you are

Confession: I didnt like Inglorious Basterds when it came out. I watched it again tonight and I still don’t like it

I read The Dungeon Master and it's mostly an account of how the detective William Dear was right about everything and made no mistakes; how women wanted him and men wanted to be him.

explaining to my kid how we used to have to wrestle with the C buttons on mario 64 to move the camera is my version of uphill to school both ways in the snow and he also does not care about my struggles
