You might recognise me from that one page in Roy of the Rovers with Tony Cottee in 1988.
Whats new on BlueSky? Are people using this as their main social media yet or are we all mainly on Threads now? I prefer BlueSky but it's hard to build up momentum here with everyone coming and going. So many people I follow haven't posted in months.

That vigil today has become a ideological farce and it needs to be called out without being labeled antisemitic. So many of the speakers are conflating Jews with Israel. They're painting support for a Palestinian state and marches against genocide, as antisemitic. It's dishonest and it's dangerous.

Terrible news about the attack on the Manchester synagogue. Thinking of those who lost loved ones or whose loved ones are injured.
Especially to attack on Yom Kippur, such an important day in the Jewish calendar.

My first time reading Bendis & Maleev's Daredevil run, and yeah, it's brilliant. I can't recommend it enough. It's the perfect entry point for anyone unfamiliar with Daredevil comics. I bought the omnibus but ended up reading it digitally on the ridiculously good-value-for-money Marvel Unlimited app

There are people who look over at America's current insanity and want to bring it to the UK, and I can't stress enough that those people are the enemy and we must do everything we can to defeat them. Our differences between the left & centre are too small to allow Reform UK to bring this evil here.
In any other country, if federal agents fired upon journalists when unprovoked — what would we call it?

If federal agents marched down streets demanding papers — what would we say?

Authoritarianism — let’s not pretend it’s something else when it happens in our American cities.

My family came here 50 years ago. They've worked, paid taxes, raised families, been good citizens.

My many colleagues and friends who were either born elsewhere, or their parents were, the same.

It's so offensive to be told you're here on sufferance.
Just fuck off with this. How about start the conversation by highlighting how much immigrants contribute to the UK - not least by propping up the NHS and social care system!

Also - forced volunteering is not volunteering, it's unpaid labour.

I will never stop begging @bsky.app for a UK trending topics page. Please @jay.bsky.team and @pfrazee.com as much as we love you guys, it's far too American around here. Give us liberty or give us death, goshdarnit.

I would take Andy Burnham over Starmer in a heartbeat. Someone with a spine and a bit of conviction to fight back against Reform UK. How refreshing would that be?

Starmer is not the man for the current moment. We need someone with stronger values, who can make the argument against everything Reform UK stand for. Not someone willing to race them to the bottom, dragging the Overton window rightwards as they descend. Chasing votes that aren't even fucking there.
Compulsory 'voluntary work' is just unpaid Labour.

Effectively they want to make migrants do community service for the crime of wanting to live in the UK
September 29, 2025 at 12:30 PM
This Labour Party conference was supposed to be the big reset, where Starmer admits mistakes were made and finally takes the fight to Farage. Instead they’re chasing Reform again. We should be ripping their arguments to shreds, not adopting them as policy. 🤬

There is a more diverse range of thought on the Trump MAGA right because those guys are gullible, poorly educated, and absolutely fucking nuts.
September 25, 2025 at 5:39 PM
Ed Davey is singing my tune lately. I think I might even love this guy a little bit. I've voted Labour all my life, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't side-eyeing the Lib Dems and lapping up everything big, hunky Ed is serving.
First Trump slashed funding for vaccines research now he's peddling dangerous nonsense about paracetamol.

The UK should take on Trump’s anti-science agenda and open our doors to US researchers.
September 25, 2025 at 11:01 AM
Hey @bsky.app give us Brits a UK trending topics page and stop shoving American craziness in our faces.

As a stable genius once said, "It can only good happen."
September 25, 2025 at 10:43 AM
I am all for a bit of Andy Burnham, personally. I see no way back for Starmer. Labour should keep him around just in case Trump needs his balls tickling again. Otherwise, it's time for him to hit the road, and take the odious McSweeney with him.

The tories have had some terrible leaders, but have they ever had such an irrelevant one? #Badenoch

My heart breaks for Zelensky every time I see that awful clip of Trump yelling at him that his country is in big trouble, and he let's out a little saddened, "I knowww".

I hope when he gets home he gets the best hugs. Poor guy. 😢

Why are we getting such strange and intimate details of the Pope's illness? Is this a weird Catholic thing? Do we really need to know he's inhaling his own vomit? Religious people are weird, man.

They are arguing, endlessly, that illegally inciting acts of terror online is ‘free speech’ while silencing dissent, targeting journalists & telling an invaded ally what he is & is not allowed to say during a live television broadcast are all fine.

There is a loneliness epidemic among conservative men. What is it about racism, crypto gambling, alcoholism, misogyny, conspiracy theories and revving a 99 Honda civic that women are put off by?

Hey West Ham fans, genuine question. What was your reason for getting rid of Moyes? On paper, it looked like he was doing well for you, but I know on paper doesn't always tell the full story.
February 15, 2025 at 9:07 PM
Hey Everton fans, we almost ended up with Graham Potter.😂

Thank our lucky stars for Moyes the Messiah. #UTFT

Still internalising the Vance Munich speech. A sitting Vice President goes to Europe, barely says a word about the despotic murderous regime which has invaded its neighbour, and instead lectures his allies about freedom of speech. It’d be funny if it weren’t so serious.

Hey America, are you scared yet?

RFK Jr. is a psychopath.
Giving infectious disease research a break, as promised by the MAHA agenda.

Let's break down what exactly this Executive Order is *really* saying.

Fortunately, I speak fluent anti-vax grifterese & can translate.
