Yes buddy, corvids are clever. In the streets near me, in Buda, you know where, for years I've seen Hooded Crows dropping walnuts from wires to the road so the shells get smashed and then they fly down to eat the contents

And the gardens there have several woodpeckers, and "black coloured" Red Squirrels!
