There's already a standard for this on Fabric and Neoforge (and maybe Forge?). All the loaders add a plethora of new block/item/biome/etc. tags until the c: namespace and mods are expected to put their entries into the respective tags.

That all being said, I despise the idea that generative AI tools spread that they are "democratizing modding", because that's just not true. They're trying to create a new path of least resistance, one predicated on laziness and lies. (5/5)

If you can't find anyone who is willing to collaborate, there are always non-AI tools, primarily MCreator. While I've personally bashed on it in the past for its performance concerns, I recognize that it is a legitimately useful onboarding ramp for new Minecraft modders and artists. (4/5)

Even if you don't know how to code mods or create textures, there's plenty of open-source mods to look at for reference and people willing to help and collaborate with you. I'm not an artist myself, but I've worked with several very talented artists to bring my ideas to life. (3/5)

Minecraft modding is not a walled garden. There are tutorials on Youtube, rich documentation and guides on modloader websites, and vast communities on Discord who are more than willing to help new modders and artists. The IDEs, plugins and toolchains most used are all free and open source. (2/5)

lexforge = old forge, before most the devs split off to form Neoforge

You don't *need* shears, the horse UI still exists. The shearing option is just there for consistency with all other mobs that have saddles.
