Social interaction even with the closest people in my life right now feels less like I’m a human in my own body, and more like I’m the PR coordinator for some reluctant entity, scheduling their social interactions so they make good press and stay relevant.

I would love to shrug and say “I’ll bounce back,” about this but I have noticed this trending downward spiral of: complete inability to handle social interaction and lack of energy to expend the effort to mask “I deeply want to crawl into a hole and curl up.”

When I was little I would go on bike rides with my dad and when we hit a steep hill he would forbid me to change to an easier gear and yell “BUNS OF STEEL” and I live by that.
