l was planning to use Hasegawa's Mirror Finish for head ramp, but it's too old and no longer bright. Suddenly, I recalled I bought silver chrome marker some time ago, then tried to use it. Unexpectedly, the effect is quite good.

l haven't updated progress for a while as it's not drastic. The recent progress is fixing window, and then glued tyres.

Cut a headrest at this stage. I think myself lack planning skill🤣, but I found shoulder belt seems unnatural if leave it as it was. After cutting, add a mounting stay so that there is some space to put belts.

Made seat belts. Belt itself was from metal bottle top of wine bottle. Fittings are from Z model's PE. The color is by Creos 's Blue. Later, I will remove a color on buckles.

It's difficult but not impossible. Just don't be hasty. 😉
I found the race number on the rear hood is too big. After checking the real one, I found the number was not in the center of the circle. It's offset.🥺 It's my bad that I didn't check in advance.

Move forward. Check the center and use a masking tape as a guidelines. The one on the front hood and roof is not that difficult, but the one for the rear section is difficult.

As per weather forecast, it will be raining coming days. Then, decided to paint body. Still wondering if I missed something to do before painting though.

A shift knob is with nickel silver rod and solder. Glued a nut to the floor for fixing on the case.
Steering wheel from the kit looks not so bad, then I will use it with a little refining.

Today's work.
I carved out the mold for the air vents on the dashboad and decorated them with tiny washers. The nose cover I made previously was not good, then built again.
I checked the tire alignment. The front heights are different needs adjustment.

The exhaust pipe was molded together with a floor part, then replaced it with brass pipe. When replacing, I broke a floor brake lever accidentally. So, made it from a brass rod. It's an unnecessary work if only I am careful enough...

It was difficult to make a proper length and angle for latter 2 bars, but finally done. However, I found there was no space to put inner details between door and cage. 😂
I think I have to give up to place it.

I know what was the motif , but I can't help to recall Dome Zero.

Today, I started to make a roll cage. I chose 1.2mm diameter brass rod. Front half is not very difficult. 2 rods on the rear shelf must be difficult. It's carried over to next week.

Finally, I'm back. This is a racing car but there are linings which is same as 'Stradale'. Kit's molding is dull and shape is wrong. Then, removed them and rebuilt .

I was unwilling to do this as it's not easy, but have to face against it. Cut brass plate and make a round shape to fit into front window. Filled putty from behind to make it steady. Polished a surface. The preparation of vacuum forming is done.

Vacuum forming was done and it seems the shape fits mostly. Cut them and try to fit them. I know I need to adjust the size again after painting due to paint layer, so roughly adjusting is fine at this stage.

Replicate the shape of the nose using thermoplastic silicone and epoxy patty. The details are distorted, but it's not a matter since this is for vacuum forming of the headlight cover. I will fill patty then it's fine if only outline is replicated.

I cannot accept excessively slanted front screen , a feeling of being oppressed when driving. Prius is now like a Countach.
July 21, 2025 at 10:51 PM
Front window is bit difficult dut to its shape. I decided to make it separately, but still vending flat plate is not easy. Fixed by pin-vise and vend by pincers little by little. Roughly made a shape, still need to adjust.
