🎣 A JRPG without fishing? Unthinkable!
In Mochi Conquest, you can catch all kinds of fish and seafood to cook up powerful meals to boost your run! 🍲

And yes, rare fish fight back! 🐟

Work in progress, but here's a sneak peek! ❤️

Orienting a RigidBody with precision timing requires something beyond a naïve "accelerate-towards-target" method. Here's a slow-motion comparison between the naïve method vs. what I call the "Akira slide". Green line indicates acceleration.

Correction: 1965 - the Sony CV-2000 - a videocorder - hit retailers in August 1965, and was the first standalone commercial home video recorder (i.e. without a monitor)

The first standalone VCR hit in 1976 with Sony's SL-7200.

h/t to @matthewdessem.bsky.social on that
Excited about “Golgo 13,” but I want to point out that consumer home video recording technology began in the 1960s, not the 1970s. The Sony CV-2000 is from 1965.

To note, folks: This was an accurate and correct use of the term "lost media."

Home video recording tech did not exist until 1976. Broadcast masters were thought to be destroyed. No recording would have existed, period. *THAT* is lost media.
The "Golgo 13" anime (from 1971) will be released on Blu-ray in Japan.
This series was considered lost until the masters were found two years ago.

Sometimes I hate myself for the kind of gameplay ideas I have, coding this tumbling block physics with the screws was SOO hard

But I'm happy that the block puzzles are getting more varied and better integrated with the platforming, pacing and all

(game is ABYSS X ZERO, btw)

Progress was been at a snails pace but I have landed on an overall style I'm happy with. Also got depth based rim lighting working correctly. Just her arms and tail to finish off (hence why it's using the old shader). #gamedev #indiedev #unity #blender

We want you, said Squaresoft - and Aya - in a 1998 issue of Next Generation magazine.

Don't phone, though, lest it suddenly burst into flames.

Note the Square Electronic Arts - an artifact of the time the two entered into a joint partnership to localize Square's games in North America.
