Wouldn't it be nice to argue about basic shit and not whether or not someone deserves rights, or the ethics of shooting protesters?
Post: Are we still cutting off family members who don't agree with us politically, or did we all finally grow up? FYI, that is exclusively an American thing. As a Norwegian, this is fascinating. We don't usually cut off family over politics. But then again, our political debates are usually about toll roads and fishing quotas, not whether women should be state-mandated incubators. It is much easier to 'agree to disagree when your uncle isn't voting to strip you of your civil rights

After two years of death and misery, they made a critical change: They divided the common property into private plots. Owners could produce what they wanted and freely keep or trade it. Suddenly, there was enough food not only to feed themselves but also to share with the Wampanoag. Thanksgiving isn't just a day of gratitude and togetherness-it's also a reminder that pursuing self-interest, within the framework of freedom, is one of the greatest ways to benefit others.
