Disappointed with the events of #EAA 2025. How has it come to pass that opposing genocide is a radical act? A reminder that 18 months ago the EAA issued this statement following an open letter from Irish archaeologists. www.facebook.com/share/p/1FDb...
Facebook post reading: The EAA is the largest membership organisation of archaeology in Europe. We are concerned with the effects of the current Israel/Gaza crisis on heritage, our colleagues in the region and the loss of human life. The Executive Board has formulated a statement that is now available on our website https://buff.ly/4ccC1XQ. It urges that all acts of war and violence cease immediately. Prompted by the impetus of our Irish Members, this statement resulted from a considered period of reflection, internal discussion and democratic process. The Executive Board is grateful to the Heritage Advisory Committee, wider EAA colleagues and staff for their advice and input.

Are crafting posts a thing here. The ability to follow hashtags and groups on Mastodon makes for great crafting communities. Anyway here's a Christmas stocking I made for my 11-month-old. Fair Isle in the round with double pointed needles. The tension was very tricky to get right in the round 😬
