when i talked to one of my mentors who knew the guy from many years before, she was like

"ugh, not surprised, that sounds like who i remember" so hopefully it's more of an "isolated incident" kind of thing and not the direction our boat's floatin.

other favorite highlights:

"my kids tell me to stop showing them stuff made with AI but it's funny it bugs them so much"

and "we can't teach/convince people what's fake anyway, so either believe nothing or everything"

at my last staff day business thing, one breakout session was about AI in libraries and i attended thinking it would be...y'know. not trash.

instead, it was just this guy who showed us how cool it is to make a whole picture book with just a few keystrokes!

luckily, many were enraged.
