It looks lovely and maybe I'll be wrong, I'd like to be, but it kinda looks like more of the same?
But it is just a trailer who knows, I certainly don't want to seem like I'm badmouthing it, it's good stuff

Just to add something: there are at least 2-3 dozens of active in-development indie fighters from all subgenres, but unfortunately it's hard for them to emerge. I've seen a lot and there's *a humongous number of titles* worthy of attention. Sad that they don't get time in the limelight

PS: can we take a sec to appreciate the music? These games have such criminally underrated OSTs!

The DND beat em ups are legit so good and forward thinking that even modern ones kinda feel a bit thin by comparison. Not to say "UGH THEY ALL SUCK" or whatever, but there's a very clear focus on combos over flavourful mechanics in a lot of things these days. Combos bang but come on man 😭

And here's Rebecca Heinemann herself telling how she freaking LEARNED JAPANESE just to read SNES dev manuals from NCL. The whole hour-long stream on Out of this World is a delight. Thank you, Becky. You'll be missed.

It's fascinating how Rebecca Heinemann managed to make Out of this World run on the SNES. Interplay, publisher of the console versions and the company she co-founded, wouldn't pay for Super FX/static RAM/FastROM chips. "I made a game using polygons working on a 65816 with pure software rendering."

And if the Billionaires could take the brunt of it smack to the face and not be bailed out by taxing everyone else? I will actually believe there is a God, thanks xx
