the last thing i’ll say about the hanger title discourse is i don’t think people are upset that he wasn’t champion for 3 years or mad because he should never lose. they just wanted a story while he was champion before the loss that was as compelling as the ones told when he’s chasing the title.

That's why I'm pissed that the storyline sucks. Samoa Joe is amazing! I shouldn't be disappointed with the presentation of a Joe men's world title reign!

Eh I don't think the storyline is being executed well.
It's not that Hangman lost, it's that he lost in a storyline that is basically not working for me on any level.
The possibilities of Hangman, Swerve and whoever against the Opps are kind of intriguing, but is it worth the clunky execution?

Look, we can criticize "pairing two singles stars to win the tag titles" as a trope, but the results speak for themselves.
In my opinion, full time tag team acts in 2025 would benefit by stronger defining of each wrestler in the team.
