Cofiwch Gresford, one of the worst mining disasters Wales has faced, one which has impacted a whole generation in Wrecsam but is in danger of fading from our minds

Whenever the discrimination we face enters conversations, a chorus of voices responds to tell everyone that "the left" needs to "prioritise working class issues" and not be "distracted" from "genuine material concerns"

Yesterday, socialists from across Wales gathered in Merthyr Tydfil to discuss a unified approach to both the Senedd 2026 elections, and creating a grassroots movement to build the socialist movement up.

The motion to unite around core principles passed unanimously.

We were proud to join our comrades in the Connolly Youth Movement in marching for justice for the victims of imperialism - from the streets of Derry, to the people of Palestine.

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus! 🕊️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We wish all our members, friends and supporters a happy St David’s Day, and hope you enjoy it wherever you are in the world.
Image description: an image of a crowd with black text with a red outline over the top. The crowd are carrying daffodils, Welsh flags, and white doves fly over their heads. Two big banners fly above them, a red flag with a hammer and sickle on it, the sickle turns into a dragons tongue which is the emblem of Plaid Gomiwnyddol Cymru. The other is a Welsh flag.

The text reads: Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant Text reads: DEWI SANT
Dewi Sant, or St David, is the Patron Saint of Wales, and today is the day we celebrate him.
Across Wales, people will celebrate today with music, art, food, and more. But we're lucky that it's on a Saturday today, because the British state refuses to make it a bank holiday!
The fight for making Dydd Dewi Sant a bank holiday isn't just a fight for Wales, it's a fight for the working class. Bank holidays should be a day when all people cannot be compelled to work, but the rise in zero-hour contracts mean that this right is held by fewer and fewer workers.
Not only should Dydd Dewi Sant be a bank holiday, we need to ensure that all workers are either given the day off or entitled to a far higher pay for working this and all bank holidays. Text reads: A OES HEDDWCH?
Dewi Sant is often depicted with a white dove, the symbol of peace between people.
Wales has a proud history of fighting for peace, from protests against British military use of our land, like the Penyberth RAF Bomber School arson attack, to the Welsh women who marched from Cardiff to the Greenham Common Air Base in England in 1981 to protest nuclear weapons.
The legacy continues to today, organisations like Heddwch ar Waith are fighting for a peaceful Wales, and Welsh republicans, socialists and pacifists fight for justice and world peace.
TODAY WE DEMAND
HEDDWCH!
