I was fortunate enough to help playtest a remake of one of my favorite arcade racers! Here's a recording of the desktop exclusive 4:3 aspect ratio mode, highly recommend checking this world out if you're interested in the series or a big fan of arcade racers!

Took just over 4 years of on & off development. Sadly SEGA didn't do anything for Daytona's 30th anniversary recently but I know it's one of those licensed properties that they can't just keep revisiting for free! Hopefully fans of the franchise will enjoy this <3

You can do multiplayer races with up to 8 people as well as up to 8 single player races simultaneously. Either can also be against 19 additional AI cars. There are spectator cams, leaderboards and many extra settings. There are also achievements and secrets to unlock. Have fun!

Here’s my recreation of the Advanced Course in Daytona USA as a fully playable VRChat racing world! No source code used, just constructed and programmed in Unity & C# (UdonSharp) by eyeballing the arcade version and doing my best while trying to keep it fun!
