A time I visited DC, a time when there was relative peace and unity. I visited the Smithsonian, the Conservatory, the mall, saw the cherry blossom festival. Talked with many ordinary citizens, listened to their stories about what they saw change over time. I wonder if I will ever return.

It is again with the whitewashing of history. Unsurprised but heartbreaking. I had a privilege and pleasure in 2012 to meet some of these heros along with support members who served at Tuskegee. This is one of my treasured memories.
