Like the antivaxxers, the anti-formula breastmilk nazi are deeply evil and a major source of oppression and shame to women. This breastmilk exclusive shame has colonized hospitals and both the left and right.

Formula is a miracle. You are not a bad parent for using it.
RFK Jr: "All of the ingenuity of corporate America has not produced an infant formula that is superior in nutrition and all the qualities that we want to the infant formula that God made, which is the infant formula in a mother's breast."

Watching the How It’s Made on Cheez-It’s and realizing…they aren’t that bad? Big blocks of real cheese. Baked in oven. Pretty good.

The best of the Christmas light rants, with a lot of correct thoughts on LED lighting in general.

Went through a Fidelity 401K questionnaire only for it to try to upsell me to an actively managed account.

Not today Satan.

Some of you have never reticulated splines and it shows.

Traveling @united first class and immediately after the safety video there are three ads that play over the entire PA and every screen.

Worst enshitification I have ever seen.

Bene Gesserit for 10,000 years: Wouldn’t it be soo cool to have a Kwisatz Haderach that could access male and female other memory and prescient?

Bene Gesserit for the next 5,000 years: Oh no.

Normally naming things after a clunky acronym is bad but they were really cooking with LASER.

Decades of age gap discourse and no one has found a better rule than half-plus-7.

It will always be funny that we describe higher color temperatures as colder and lower color temperatures as warmer.

No Siri speech to text. I meant to say 'harmonics' in the Teams work chat. Not 'erotic'.

Based on the inane takes I see I think a lot of your need to know that TSMC does not make any semiconductor process tools. They are purchased, mostly from US companies. Intel and Samsung have the same tools.

Guess I'll just keep using Dust and Scratch removal filter on my negatives.

Behold the best and only lightbulb you should buy. Great color and flicker free.

It's great to spend 10x the time it takes to do a task to automated it. Especially when you will run it for less than 10 times total.

I love doing that shit.

Why has no one made a bottled oleo saccharum I can buy at the liquor store?

When Dr. Frank-N-Furter said:

"Or if you want something visual that's not too abysmal
We could take in an old Steve Reeves movie"

This would be equivalent today of someone suggesting "an old Daniel Craig James Bond movie"

S-tier children book.

Great comedic timing. Engaging. Macabre in the best way children stories can be.

People that believe the universe is simulated are, to a tee, losers
October 17, 2025 at 5:52 PM
I'm tired of people saying the Planck length means the universe is discrete.

It isn't the minimum length. There is nothing special about 1.0 Planck lengths.

It's not even a measurement limit. I can measure stuff much smaller than the wavelength I use.

WTF? Fuck CVS?

I see getting a Covid vaccine for my family is going to be a pain in the ass again. The last few years it’s been actively discouraged at every step. Especially for the kids.

Update: Got a Breville Oracle, but its grinder stalled on medium light roast beans. So I returned it and just bought an obscenity expensive machine and grinder. I have fully caught the espresso bug.
Considering giving up on (fancy) drip coffee makings and going all in on a home espresso machine.

What's a good model with no compromises (10 bar, temperature control, etc)? I expect >$1000. I have a burr grinder.

When we get to the 2-Angstrom semiconductor node people are going to be confused and upset about sub-atomic transistors. But keep in mind the pitch size is still only 10-14nm lol

It's only called white light if it comes from the black body region of the electromagnetic spectrum. Otherwise it's just sparkling polychromatic light.

Me, chronically low on sleep, after going to bed early one (1) time:

"I'm still tired. I guess getting more sleep is bullshit."
