Seeing a comment on TikTok saying "Hearing ARO mentioned is a jumpscare, because no one ever talks about us" made me laugh, because I was passively watching the video, but it got my full attention when I heard ARO. 11/10 felt validated af. x3

The whole "Don't make any changes on holidays and Fridays" thing does not get through to the rest of the IT team because my boss has a "You need to do it now" attitude. So today our website is down.
What is even the point of me managing a team if he is just going to go around me like this?

I successfully kept my boss distracted with Chat-GPT while I actually troubleshooted an issue with a couple remote voip phones.
When he asked if what he did helped, I said "yeah, it allowed me to actually do my job while you fed logs to your AI friends and it gave you nothing." :3

My boss in his infinite wisdom decided to update both of our Web servers at the same time.... They are clustered, now our customer logins are offline.
I spent a little more than I wanted to, but I got a nice compass. ^^ my old one didn't have declination adjustment, and this just makes it so much nicer to use. :3

I have to smuggle a work laptop with my coworker who's going on a work trip with the bosses because they both refused to take one.
We had to beef up our network security, and they don't seem to understand that their personal Mac laptops are not getting in.

Things about my childhood have been recently popping to mind, and kind of haunting me. Most recently I was thinking about how I was never allowed to have friends over, or stay at a friends home. I have 5 siblings who were all allowed to, but I could only see my friends at school.
