If you're writing down an answer to someone in an email or an IM, paste that this into a page
Just do it. Copy-paste. A little cleanup if you're feeling ambitious. Bam, documentation.

I agree with the sentiment, but if the Steam Hardware family succeeds, it's a bigger problem for the publishers that demand it (and other invasive DRMs).
No video game actually needs un-sandboxed access to your system. On demand file access to save/load/import data, sure, but never full access.

Mark my words: If the new Steam Machines are price competitive in anyway with consoles……it will be a bloodbath sales wise.
While I understand people are skeptical of the Steam Machine as being too wonky to make a dent in PlayStation or Nintendo, I absolutely see a scenario in which it replaces Xbox, which does not seem to be difficult at this point.
