Does anyone have an update on the status of LA Metro's bike share contract? It's been months since they pulled the vote on the Lyft contract. I'm considering an annual pass cause I'm on LIFE and it'd only be $50 but I dunno what the status of the system will be a year from now.

My e-bike is in the shop for repairs so I used LA Metro Bike Share for the first time to pick up lunch on my break today. Some slight hiccups creating my account but otherwise really smooth service! I wish there were more docking stations in North Hollywood! @metrolosangeles.bsky.social

You’re kinda cringe if you’ve never even TRIED to use LA Metro (or any other transit agency). Like it’s one thing to try it once and conclude the schedules don’t work for your needs or to leave w/ safety concerns. But to just never even try it is lame and cringe!

I was shocked when I heard Scott Wiener say LA City Council's divided SB 79 vote helped convince state reps to vote yes on the bill. So I mapped it - sure looks like he's telling the truth! The only state reps from LA who voted for SB 79 overlap with city councilmembers who supported the bill. A 🧵:
