U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb ruled that the Trump administration exceeded its authority by deploying over 2,000 National Guard troops for "non-military, crime-deterrence missions" without a request from local authorities. Cobb put her order on hold until December 11 to allow time for an appeal.

Four masked agents with guns drawn yanked people out, slammed them to the ground, and pointed a weapon at a pregnant woman.
