If you’re in the northern hemisphere, worth checking the Aurora viewline on NOAA’s SWPC to see if you can see the Aurora tonight! There’s a strong G4 rn and even with heavy cloud activity I could see some gorgeous colors with the naked eye!

#101: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (2025)

I really enjoyed it! Will probably circle back for at least a bit of the Snake vs Monkey and the multiplayer mode. Just wish they had taken some bigger design swings. Wonder if the team is cutting their teeth here for a bigger project.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, with 17.8 hours played on Steam Big Boss's face contorts with barely restrained tears as he salutes the unmarked grave of The Boss. Results screen for my MGS Delta playthrough, with a ranking of Tarantula Pairs the immaculate fundamentals of the original Metal Gear Solid 3 with a modern coat of paint that is mostly quite handsome, and a "modern mode" that integrates many of the camera stylings and some mechanical flourishes of later Metal Gear Solid games, which are mostly quite welcome here. However, one certainly comes away wishing that they had been a bit more ambitious. I in particular would've liked to see the modern mode try to redesign the maps a little - the outdoor areas in particular could have benefitted a lot from being larger, more seamless, and offering more opportunities to get into mishaps. I wouldn't advise using this game as a replacement for the original MGS3, given its deserved place in games history, but thankfully it isn't being offered as one.
