The Federal Government of Nigeria has opposed the live streaming of court proceedings in the trial of Biafra agitator, Nnamdi Kanu. The government, through its counsel, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN, objected to a request made by Kanu’s family for live coverage of the proceedings. At the resumption of the trial on Wednesday, Kanu’s lead counsel, Kanu Agabi, SAN, brought to the court’s attention a letter written by Awomolo.

Lolo Uchechi Okwu-Kanu, the wife of the detained leader of the Biafra separatist movement, Nnamdi Kanu, has endorsed the apology offered by her husband to the court, Judge Binta Nyako, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, and others for his angry outbursts during last year's trial proceedings on terrorism charges. The apology was given on Kanu's behalf on Friday by his new lead lawyer and former Attorney General of the Federation Chief Kanu Agabi.
