I think the reception of Cyberpunk has changed a lot. In my experience, #Cyberpunk2013 #Cyberpunk2020 were much more independent of the background than, say, #Shadowrun.

#Cyberpunk2013 / 2020 war mehr als #NightCity! Es war nie so ein #Meta #Fluff Monster wie #Shadowrun. Es wurde immer viel offener angegangen, vgl. u. a. #Hardwired oder #AthasGames Zeuch.

I don't know, I didn't used to do much with #Traveller. #Cyberpunk2013 were our antihero stuff that finally got us out of the musty dungeons.
Today I would love to play in an epic #PiratesofDrinax campaign (or something).
Dungeons and Dragons interest me less & less, I'm more drawn to stars #ttrpg

By the way:

The #TTRPG originals #Cyberpunk2013 and #Cyberpunk2020 for #Cyberpunk2077 weren't about impressing any idiots in cool cars either (etc.).

The #cyberpunk games were also comparatively deadly, bluntly running around and shooting everything was generally a shitty idea...
