Got a pic of my bad (batch) boys together... excellent rubber duck debuggers too 💻

As much as I hate to admit it, when Apex removed Linux support the number of cheaters did indeed go down.

People were abusing the fact that Easy Anti-Cheat didn't work as well on Linux, and cheaters patched Proton (etc.) to secretly attach debuggers.

Purposely breaking Linux stopped this entirely

A lot of the people I knew who cashed out did things like buy an old farm in the mountains to grow blueberries, or be kindergarten teachers.

My floor was mainly core debuggers. It was core dumps where you were the last hope to fix a problem. I think 5 of 30 people one year had heart attacks.

3 languages and 3 debuggers at once with the Aspire VS Code extension \o/.

Look at that Python integration 👀👀

Debuggers...

_sigh_ it's after midnight here and I'm past the point of trying to dig through network & console debuggers to get a video to play in spite of the pi-hole & various other measures just so I could try making my own version

Humans stop being conversational partners and become spectators or amateur debuggers, drawn into the hypnotic spectacle of a system failing. The performance of intelligence is replaced by the performance of failure, and the audience is just as captivated.

Heyyo Debuggers! I had a sudden stuff to do today so I won't be streaming, sorry! 😭
Because of dis, tomorrow's stream will start at the usual time, 1.30 pm UTC+7!
New schedule for this week (Nov 3 - Nov 9)!
Time is UTC +7 and updates will be notified in case of changes!

If I don't stream Minecraft, I'll stream Mahjong Soul again (at an undetermined time) and will try to teach y'all how to play properly!

Interestingly, the best debuggers are the people who are the worst at zero to one products and vice versa.

0-1 people want to follow a straight line to shipping. Any obstacle is frustrating.

Master debuggers are curious. They love tricky side quests. Their distractibility builds their knowledge.

And that's the funny thing. Troubleshooting jobs are going to be a huge beneficiary of AI, but AI companies can't admit that, b/c the whole point of their take on 'AGI' is that they'll make AIs that don't need human debuggers, which is utterly wrong.

Use tree-sitter, they said. It has great Rust bindings, they said!

here I am, writing #define macros and hard-casting pointers like I'm in undergrad operating systems class again. Except debuggers don't work nearly as well as gdb in emacs did back in 2000!

Computers were a mistake

Things similar to AI have been used everywhere for a long time. I think a lot of matrix math driven things, debuggers especially, electronics, have been useful to solve real problems. Sex perversions and wealth and ownership fetishes seem to hold people’s attention better than science explorations.

The best coders aren’t fast typers.
They’re fast debuggers. 🧠💻

i think i'll cancel today's art stream- the weather's getting cold and im feeling so eepy XD so sorry, debuggers! see y'all tomorrow!

We literally cant find the cause. and the debuggers also shows no signs. input handler works, so what causes this is still a mystery to us.

The other one is quite funny. when u interact with a NPC and u do a atatck move ur hitbox stays active for the rest of the game. easy fix and funny one xD

graphic design is my passion (im writing debuggers again)

printf debugging is wonderful until your library takes several seconds to link, so your edit-recompile-test cycle becomes slow :( which is why I wanna get better at debuggers.

(and I'm on MacOS so I can't use any of the shiny new linkers like wild)

As expected, won't be streaming today, sorry Debuggers! 😭😭
BUT i MIGHT stream tomorrow, so fingers-crossed!

I think it stopped when debuggers got better.

Instead of planning properly, people get lazy, write code, hope it works, then try to work out why it doesn't work. It's worst when it's a rare bug and there's a heap of code on top of it by the time it emerges.

SameBoy and BGB are two of the most accurate GameBoy (Color) emulators out the right now, and thankfully both have superb debuggers.
October 20, 2025 at 2:22 PM
You really don't need Mason. You can just refer to nvim-dap for how to configure your debug adapters, and lscpconfig has good defaults for most lsps. Any weird LSPs or debuggers I just install with my own package manager and then you end up with better control over what you have installed.
