If you skip "good", you're right.
It's a backup strategy.
Better would be: A backup drive the size of your main + data drive. And a program like FreeFileSync to copy daily backups.
These days USB3 backup drives are quite cheap. When your house is on fire, just grab the drive.

うちは重要なデータ量が比較的小さい(現在120GB程度)のもあるけど、データ用ドライブをFreeFileSyncを使って外付けHDDに更新分をバックアップしてそのままシャットダウンするようにしてる。これで約10年。(´・ω・)

Medio-alto si quieres, pero algunos ejemplos de apps que ya usaba antes de ser dev y me han dado problemas:
- Virtual box no está.
- FreeFileSync no está.
- La versión de TOR que instalé no me permitía guardar archivos en escritorio, tuve que editar el archivo de apparmor.

他の作業ファイルはFreeFileSyncで毎日寝る前にバックアップ取ってるけど素材フォルダの構造よく分からんので差分じゃなくてまるごと手動コピペでバックアップ取らんと安心できんのよね…

If you're only using it locally try FreeFileSync instead; I use it to back things up to a drive I have in an external caddy.

A friend told me xcopy /H/I/C/K/E/R/Y was what he used. I thought it was funny, but also actually helpful. I've switched to robocopy. On Linux, I use rsync (look for grsync for GUI, but I haven't tried it myself). If you're a private individual, FreeFileSync is really good.

You can software RAID basically anything, though guaranteeing both drives will always be connected could be an arse, so you'd probably be better off with FreeFileSync, rsync or similar.

Ahhh windows file transfer can be spotty.
I use this to bulk transfer files to my NAS. Works incredibly well at transferring a lot of little files very efficiently

(I said "restore points" in the first tweet a lá "system restore", but apparently that's a separate thing that doesn't actually back up any personal files... it was a "system image" which I guess is the whole disk in its entirety. I just use FreeFileSync and TimeShift personally, idk all this stuff)
