Epyx introduced Summer Games at the show, creating one of the best-selling computer game series of the 80s.

HESware brought over Jeff Minter's Attack of the Mutant Camels, promoted by no less a celebrity than Leonard Nimoy.

Attack of the Mutant Camels is a 1983 Centipede style video game published by HesWare (better known as Matrix: Gridrunner 2 Publ. by Llamasoft Ltd.) It was coded by Jeff Minter and is the sequel to his 1982 game, Gridrunner. #Commodore #VIC20 #retrogaming #retrogames

There’s a good explainer on this in the form of a two hour podcast interview with Jay Balakrishnan of HESWare. He tells of hundreds of carts they produced that they couldn’t sell and they were unusable as they could not be reprogrammed. Companies couldn’t afford that mistake twice!
