Eeshoke Chula Chula coach, John Sikerete, has said that for his team to contend for the league title this season, they must avoid slip-ups, play selflessly, remain highly focused, and demonstrate resilience. Chula Chula will play at home at Oshakati’s Independence Stadium this weekend as they look to redeem themselves following a series of disappointing performances on home turf during the first leg of the league campaign. However, Sikerete noted that the team will need to change their approach and make the most of their home advantage, while acknowledging the competitiveness of the league. “We are ready as usual. We are trying to change our approach to make sure that we perform well and win crucial points, especially at home. We did well in away games compared to when we are playing at home,” Sikeretee said. Sikerete shared this with Nampa yesterday ahead of their weekend encounters against a highly motivated Mighty Gunners tomorrow and Okahandja United on Sunday. The club faces stiff competition from the top six teams, all of whom remain within striking distance of the title. Sikerete stressed the importance of consistently securing victories to maintain their position and avoid falling behind their rivals. “This season is very competitive. We have to take it game by game as enough points will push us forward. All teams have difficult games; it will be very hectic,” he said, adding that his team has no further room for error by dropping points.
