yea, i see people taking it in weirdly bad faith all the time to the point of bringing it up in any discussion of wikipedia and it's like. it didn't have sources. it did not meet notability guidelines. and now it does, and now it has an article. really not that hard to understand

unfortunately they haven't actually fixed this by way of fixing the underlying issues with their notability guidelines, so, it's basically a matter of When they'll pitch another weird fit like this, not a matter of If. though, we couldn't tell you with What quite yet.

My sister drives a notability car. She herself is not disabled, but her daughter is. Two things:
1. They had to pay a considerable amount towards the cost. Like, more than the cost of a decent second hand car.

The “notability criteria” are quite a thing. In music, if you’ve won any kind of award, you’re generally in. (Also helps if you’ve been on TV.)

In Golden Fates AU proper: the majority of the FOs are royalty. On the SIs' corners, Teru, Kyo, & Ephrel have some notability, but about as much reach as a typical BNF fan, & Eclair otherwise almost always being recognized by association of either Kiran (looks) or Thorr (relations), often for worst.
Imagine your OC gets to meet their favorite celebrity (or royal etc., just someone really famous in their world) in person. Would they be cool about it? Nervous? Or something else?

the problem is that their notability guidelines haven't updated in a meaningful way since before the collapse of myspace and as a result, even after over a decade of everything being hyperconnected by the Internet, Wikipedia's notability rules are still woefully closed off, and so they do This

fwiw from a quick spot check, it might be possible for BFDI to cross the notability threshold at this point. but then someone would have to write the article in a sandbox, which you have to know a bit about insular 'pedia stuff to think of
