#TEKKONKINKREET comp of some WIP (from a dubbing reel) w finished picture. Sequence partly inspired by the dreamy opening of Malick's 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙙 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚, boarded and animated by Chie Uratani — I can't sing her praises enough 🎶 she is AWESOME!

‪Another 2004 experiment in hybrid cinematography — a crane/dolly shot. (Maybe these days we'd call it a drone shot 🤷) Never used this move in the movie, though we did many big aerial shots.

Passes for Toon-rendered vehicles #TEKKONKINKREET scene 1 shot 92. Hard-surfaces give clean contours, but we would often add jitter to the ink lines (similarly, splotches to the "paint")
