In a similar vein, while housing should be wholly decommodified, we still end up with a system of landlords whose coercive power over the lease as contract essentially renders the tenant a worker whose labor is stolen. Some landlords even functionally have morality clauses in their leases.

As for time, Raikkun actually has two different words for time: tijaa “a moment (in time),” and atti “(the flow of) time.”

This is actually important in verbs since the two give different implications as to how the verb took place in “when” clauses since they take different cases.

I now teach at a K12 school that uses phonics and produces lots of eager readers, but I still find my weaker Latin students doing it there: making up words and whole clauses with no relation to the actual Latin they're supposed to translate because they're guessing based on context & a few letters.

I mean, I still need to explain subordinate clauses, but they're in seventh grade. That's fine.

But seriously, you're not alone. So many college students just did not know basic grammar terms that all the language textbooks assumed they already knew well, so I had to double-teach each concept.
