Some progress from the weekend. Forte's error recovery and extensibility models are now extremely overpowered.

Very cool. The Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-1 synth & NTS-3 Kaoss Pad have SDKs and dev communities for building and sharing extensibility.
Now this YouTuber has built a no code web client for automating the conversion of Pure Data patches for either platform.

Working on expanding Forte's extensibility model. The parser already supports extensions, but after the day the tokenizer will as well 🔥

If I get time this week I'll see if it's easily repro in the extensibility library repo itself.
Might just be something to add to the docs to say "don't leave commented out code in your HBS".
Think a handlebars upgrade may have introduced it.

That reminds me! We upgraded to 4.18.1 this week, and during our testing, we found one of our extensibility library layouts started behaving weird [all displayed items were duplicates of the first item]
Turns out it was caused by a commented out webcomponent in the HBS html, 4.16.0 wasn't affected!

I think I have to go with Common Lisp, OCaml or D. I've solved some puzzles with all of them. I really enjoy the type system of OCaml, the standard library of D and the extensibility of CL. But sadly there is no 'Common DCaml' out there. :D

case that seems potentially interesting yet only gets approved by non professionals. It superficially look neat but in reality it's totally pointless, even more so when actual open source code with extensibility support exists (addon systems, plugins, etc).

looked into it, codex-cli switched to Rust because:
1. static binary / easy distribution
2. easier OS-level security controls
3. perf
4. extensibility — they want to introduce wire-level extensions that can be written in a variety of languages

This comes with a certain level of risk, specially when you start adding third party plugins.
But what if you were the author of those said plugins. You maintain the experience and the features you decide to add.
Having solid principles and guidelines for extensibility is the way forward.

I find it really funny that I am using a vtubing app with alot of modding extensibility and I just don’t use that aspect of it. Mostly just due to not having the time to read over documentation or to experiment.

I'll add:: the future is having the agency of extensibility for code management. I want to be able to render executable notebooks that aren't Jupyter, to coordinate large datasets outside of git LFS, to track provenance of code+data. Federation is the means to this end. icy.leaflet.pub/3m47cll72hs25
