I thought about the Feverwake duology again and now I might need 3-5 business days to recover.

I really enjoyed The Feverwake series but it can be a bit heavy - it's a YA series about a bi (?) immigrant gaining magic and being turned into a child soldier while studying under the former revolution leader and falling in love with his kid

First book is The Fever King, it's by Victoria Lee

I read so many books that I'm going to start posting about my favorite ones. If you've also read them, I'd love to talk about them. First is the Feverwake series by Victoria Lee. I love the magic system in this series and the fact that basically everyone is queer in some way. Noam and Dara are love.

Oh! I thought of another recommendation, this time a duology! The Feverwake Duology by Victoria Lee. It's an intense dystopian urban fantasy with a very frustrating but extremely satisfying slow burn. The Fever King is book 1 and The Electric Heir is book 2.

Review from the archives: The Fever King by Victoria Lee (Feverwake, #1)
THE FEVER KING was engrossing, pulling me into the story as it stayed tightly wound around the MC’s unreliable narration.

I guess my first post should be that: hi, I am Victoria. I’m a writer. I live in Queens. You might know me from my books A Lesson in Vengeance and the Feverwake duology (or the Fever King webtoon).

I like peaches, but they’re messy. I like border collies, but they’re bananas.

Nice to meet you.
