Recreational Microcosms
I think all people have a certain type of panic when confronted with that reality if they're introspective enough.
For me it was the sun going supernova. I read an account of someone going blackpill after watching a video on "iron stars"
There's microcosms of this in videogames about resources too

I have a whole thing about how the attitude Luis is describing is indicative of wider societal problems relating to entitlement, lazy consumerism, subjective reality microcosms, and being adverse to the concept of learning and growth mindsets.
But I don't have time right now. #ttrpg #dnd

There ought to be more buzz around Abadir's new album 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. Social media soundbites, ads, and reels collaged into microcosms of semioblitz. Brutal, spastic, and weirdly comforting, all at the same time.

So much thought provoking stuff happening in #Over/Under. It's so interesting to see how TTRPG groups going from a party of 5 to a group of 25 and then to a faction of 250 all real players makes for these varied microcosms of life where we see all our various social strengths and weaknesses crop up.

Well I’ve heard that leaving leaves on your yard creates hundreds of microcosms for helpful bugs & such over the winter.
So I’m sticking to that story.
(Also not researching further because I’m an Albertan).

Joseph Cornell's "boxes" are enigmatic, glass-fronted assemblages that transform found objects into poetic microcosms. The American artist (1903-1972) meticulously arranged items like old photographs, maps, and trinkets within shallow wooden frames, the glass pane creating a miniature stage. #art

If “social media” is your ONLY hobby, I get genuinely worried about you and your perspective.
Social media is designed to keep you locked into microcosms of moments. You’re not processing anything, you’re knee-jerk reacting to rapid-fire information.
You need to experience something outside this.

Dusty, cluttered, disorganized, not enough space, in danger of collapsing at any second. They're really kind of microcosms of my entire studio, come to think of it

Laundrettes make for great photographic subjects/essays, as they're truly microcosms of a society/city, & somewhat more impersonal than barber's shops (which are real community hubs). Laundrettes are humdrum yet strangely magical. And yes, I agree, you should create a book sometime!

People really haven't caught up to this fact because they think that small groups and progressive spaces are exact microcosms of larger society. But actually, like all civil wars, national cleavages merely give space for local actors to exact revenge for their pre-existing grievances.

Sadly as a brown woman, it’s been party of my life since I was born. The daily what the heck is someone gonna say/do to me today. All we can do is educate each other/our youth, take care of our microcosms, & support others as best we can. The find out part is gonna be rough for a lot of people.

Instead of waiting for an algorithm to serve you what you want, you really have to get into the app and find the microcosms you’re interested. Look for custom feeds, starter packs, lists, and hashtags that are relevant to that group.
