when I consider the ambient concept of a police chase in my head, the score is always One Little Victory off Vapor Trails, mixed with the extremely southern and garbled radio voice of NINETEEN COUNTY: I’VE GOT ‘IM AGAIN! PERMISSION TO USE A SPIKE STRIP?

(unironically) This kind of smart, walkable, mixed-use urbanism is illegal to build in most American cities

Loved this mixed use in North Vancouver: gallery/retail on street level, museum on the second floor and residential tower above. This is how you do it.
Thanks again to @martyn.bsky.social for the tour.

This kind of smart, walkable, mixed-use urbanism is far too legal to build in many American cities

Note: if Italo does this it’ll use Alstom Avelia Stream trains (I’d assume)

Mixed news for Virgin Trains - it’ll mean someone gets this model OKed in Germany. But if Italo is ahead of Virgin Trains in the queue… 🤔

I'm seeing that in some places they are converting them to mixed-use housing/communities for seniors, which seems like a great repurposing. Everything you need in a walkable, secure community. I think the Hannah character on HBO's Hacks, lives in one in L.A. (not for seniors, obviously)

Yeah, and honestly I find it kind of inoffensive in that capacity? Idk I feel like arguing against the position of "fill cities with trees and solar panels but NOT trains NOT mixed-use buildings NOT walkable markets" is very... "Make up a guy to get mad at" behavior.

fyi, the salts mixed into apple cider (I use Trioral which is unflavored and unsweetened, but I'm sure the make-your-own would work too) is weirdly good, the apple can handle the saltiness

Initial impression of Singapore:

Super clean, impressive and sterile. It feels like a really nicely done modern mixed use development blown up to city scale.

Hi, autistic mixed Latina from the Midwest here :) your defense of I'm autistic and a POC is not the move you think it is! You have wilfully misrepresented the post and have decided to double down and use lived experience within identity as a shield for urself from others' frustration. It won't work

Not happy to read this as many of my friends use THC-enhanced vapes/gummies to help with chronic pain. THC and I have never mixed well but it looks like my choice for taking the edge off chronic pain, CBD, will still be available...that is if anyone can still make $$$ selling only CBD products.
