Curious if “4 Year Terms Australia” presents any quantifiable measures that 4yr terms lead to better governance than 3yr or if it’s more of the usual vibes-based analysis
NSW, SA, VIC, WA adopted 4yr terms in the 80s after decades of 3yr; if it leads to better governance it should be easy to prove

Like truly this is quantifiable benefit! For bike valet - in property not stolen, police hours not used, business revenue due to increased foot traffic. Same for youth bus passes. Really frustrating to see these issues persist in a 'progressive' city. Paying $$$$ for policing is a tax on our future.

And what the numbers may not tell ya is how many Republicans/R-leaners for Cuomo were following Trump's lead vs how many are Sick of This Shit and begrudgingly voted for a familiar Democrat. Given trends everywhere else I'd say the latter was probably quantifiable.
