Over shelfclouds gesproken; Ik heb dit filmpje van een derecho van begin tot eind bekeken. Voor de één ultiem slaapverwekkend. Ik vind het mateloos fascinerend 🤓

Ik hoor onweer in de verte en EINDELIJK klinkt het alsof het de moeite waard kan zijn. Teleurstellend jaar*. Geen shelfclouds niets. Hopelijk wordt het nu goedgemaakt 🤞

One of the best looking #shelfclouds I have seen, certainly one of the best from this 2024 season, over a field of sunflowers toward the end of the bloom and heads getting heavy with seed. As sunset light shines through the hailcore.

Laatst. Er waren maar liefst twee shelfclouds, tegen over elkaar, maar eenmaal aan zee nog maar eentje.
En de omineuze donkere horizon lijkt op de foto’s best happy.
