#vuepress

* 홈페이지

* 블로그

New project: Migrate blog from VuePress to Astro (if I found good theme for blog)
September 30, 2025 at 4:12 PM
Good example of refactoring a system where it was necessary (and not just doing it just to refactor)

Vuepress is awesome, but its structure and search options aren't super suited for large knowledge bases. It started to get very slow and hard to navigate

Docusaurus now kills it 💪
We gave the Help Center a proper overhaul:

✅ Easier to navigate
⚡️ Way faster
🎯 Shorter, focused articles
🔍 Find things that used to be buried

Whether you're tweaking hotkeys or creating custom actions, the docs now work for you 👇

Just moved the Maglev docs off Gitbook (was paying $90/mo 😅).
Rebuilt the whole thing with @bradgessler.com 's Sitepress.cc — pure Markdown, Liquid & Ruby 💎 🙏
Like VuePress, but for Rails devs 🧱

Development update #4 – ethereum.org

Hey Ethereum community! It's been a few months since our last update so it's about time we let you know what's been happening over at ethereum.org. First up, we're now using Gatsby Under the hood at ethereum.org we've switched from Vuepress to Gatsby. Now, this…

I used to use VuePress back in the day( i think Aaron VonderHaar used that for elm-program-test.netlify.app ) but not sure the state of that project – it’s been a minute since I saw the status of that one

The vitepress default theme really needs a blog feed layout 😅

I wonder why they didn't port vuepress/blog-theme v1.vuepress.vuejs.org/theme/blog-t...

github.com/openai/codex is quite great! I was trying to create a fork of dprint-plugin-markdown to support vitepress/vuepress-style vue in markdown formatting, and it created almost all the stuff needed. There are 4-5 known edge cases left, then it will be good to use. github.com/brc-dd/dprin...

Found a nice-looking blog and documentation framework based on vuepress.

I’ve never really liked things like Gitdocs or VuePress, I like to “own” my docs.

Lets me do things like the Antlers/Blade switcher, build standalone landing pages, amongst other things.

Anyone got a strong recommendation for static website generators for both blogs and websites, that plays nicely with Azure Static Web Sites? The 4 mentioned at Azure are Jekyll, VuePress, Hugo, and Gatsby. Lot of people loved Gatsby but seems to be rapidly falling out of favor.

Дуже подобається коли ти сам own your data.

thanks! and I usually use Docusaurus or Vuepress..the theme was prebuilt in Astro, hence the 'choice' 😉

but it seems it's taking flight, their roadmap loooking really good vs the others, so I might use it more

Can't find the bigger post-it with more but the final two I came down to were Statamic or Drupal.

I've gone the Hugo, Jekyll, VuePress, etc routes - holy shit did I try a bunch of diff ones before just settling with WP a few years ago - I just wanted to write sentences NOT code (or MarkDown)!

Vuepress if you want it more customizable and configurable. For example you can install plugins.

Vitepress is more lightweight, I believe, and not customizable.

But that was 3 years ago.

I stand with your initial question. If you find something modern, let me know.

I just took a glance at it... what are your thoughts on vitepress vs vuepress?
January 6, 2025 at 1:16 AM
Hey Dave 👋

I've used VuePress. I even have it for my personal website hysa.dev

If I remember well it was pretty good.

I'm so upset with the Interstella 5555 release? I've resumed my blog written in markdown and vuepress just to post my annoyance with that garbage.

Same as what was said about React, Vue may be a bit overkill unless you want 100% customization.

But if you are interested or you want to use it as an excuse to learn Vue.js, there is also an official project called VuePress that is focused on showing content using Markdown
