On November 10th, wholesale electricity prices in Texas experienced a notable decline as forecasted wind power generation increased significantly, leading to lower demand for electricity. According to data on the Intercontinental Exchange, day-ahead and real-time on-peak prices at the ERCOT North Hub dropped by more than $20 per megawatt-hour (MWh), with prices settling around $19/MWh and $18.75/MWh, respectively. This downward trend was partly due to anticipated rising temperatures in South Texas, with a red flag warning issued across the region, as well as a widespread freeze forecast for the Southeast, which may drive up electricity demand during its peak hours.

A massive blade detached from a wind turbine Friday afternoon, falling 300 feet down into a Plymouth cranberry bog, according to the Plymouth Fire Department.
