Anyone know of a way to add a comment policy to wrdpress posts, without modifying the comment file? (for a Child Theme)

Well either it was the mastodon cross poster (maybe the wrdpress install was set to timeout too long/early?) or it was that and a combination of Jetpack. (which seems to add nothing to my own use of the site beyond a barrage of ads to upgrade jetpack)

Is this an animated website era or a simple website era? What do you think guys?
