Disability in ecology & evolutionary biology
Over the past few years, there has been a growing appreciation of discrimination in science. Many journals, including Trends in Ecology & Evolution, have published various articles discussing issues relating to race, gender, English language, and LGBTQ+ status (e.g., i). Many academic societies and other organisations have implemented initiatives to overcome the barriers faced by these groups, but who nevertheless continue to face inequities. While these ongoing discussions are incredibly important, I have noted that there has been relatively little consideration of disability.
