Finishing up a big ten day vacation in Alaska and hot damn I loved it up here. 70-80 degree summers instead of 100-110 and winters that actually get snow and cold sounds like a dream. Plus it's just beautiful. Like. To look out a window and be like "Bam! Mountains!" Was crazy. Not excited for work.

I've spent the last week in a frenzy to move apartments and I finally have had a couple moments of peace. I drew this piece as a rank tryout piece for #EmpiresBeforeClans my favoritest role play group. The red cat at the center is mine, the other characters belong to other members. #digitalart #cat

The way I literally just this week drew enough Octodog art to fill this perfectly.

A comic featuring my character Jace, his husband Nik who belongs to my friend and their future adopted daughter Jasmine, also known as Minnie.
Jace is a medium, slightly tanned white guy, has dark hair shaved on the sides that is tied up into a bun. There's a gray patch of hair next to the scar on his temple that cuts through his eyebrow. He also has other scars on his neck and arms, he's wearing a blue shirt.
Nik is pale, has short, dark red hair that spikes in every direction, and is wearing a black T-shirt with rips near the collar, a blue and green flannel over it, and a black choker with silver spikes.
They're both wearing black stud earrings.
Minnie is an African American girl in roughly her early teens. He hair has been sectioned into twists and gathered into space buns, with a pair of twists hanging in front of her ears with purple beads on the ends. Her baby hairs are styled. She's wearing a plain purple T-shirt.
The three are sitting together on one side of a desk.
The comic is titled,"That one time Minnie got in trouble for fighting a bully." The first two panels are zoomed in on Minnie. A teacher asks her, "Nervous Minnie?" In one and she responds, "Yeah. Not for me though." In the second.

I don't usually draw portraits, and when I do it's rarely of my human characters. So the human "portraits" in this are actually just cropped from their full body refs but whatever.
I'm still practicing shading skin and human facial features. The planes of the face are a struggle.
