Hello. Come in. Cup of tea? Sorry about the blood on the handle. I draw, I paint, I am autistic, I drink Yorkshire Tea. Is that everything? I think that's everything. (He/him)

More than happy to murder it. Delighted.

Just seen this *after* I send my immediately-trivial-seeming Doctor Who reply... Hope you're all okay and sending best wishes

Just had a listen to this one. I'm glad you mentioned neurodivergence with regard to The Doctor's Response... I'm autistic and have long seen familiar traits in the 13th Doctor. Her response to Graham is honest & no-frills, but not uncaring, and I saw myself in that response.

And this painting is *also* now on display, and on sale, at The Yard Gallery in Sheffield. You can go in and look and buy it and everything. Hours of fun.

Good morning. Here's a new painting called:
'Well, well, well, if it isn't the universe'
A flat, open, low horizon landscape, dark red ground. Stylised dark red mountains in the background, under a sky that fades from bright pink and yellow through to dark blue. A few stars are out. Walking towards the viewer is a cluster of six connected, cream coloured ovals on thin legs. The ovals contain a few red and pink spots.

Or am I?

New painting called:

The Inside-out Crowd
Acrylic painting.
Desert-like landscape with stylised mountains far away on the horizon. Bright blue sky with a bank of huge clouds. On the foreground - in the middle of the desert, a tall house. Actually more like a kennel or a birdhouse. It's pink and has a circular window near the roof on the two sides we can see. At the bottom on the front, a curved entrance. Above the entrance, the number 176. Out of the windows fly loads of birds. A little way from the house, a person stands looking away, and a few birds are starting to fly out of their head, as with the house.

I have to say, I was not much of a fan of the last Dr Who episode, The Reality War, at all... until, very specifically, its last 16 minutes, which was the best 16 minutes we've had in ages. Basically from Jodie through to Billie. Watching it again now & it is (to quote Jodie) "ABSolutely beautiful."

It's that slightly echoey saxophone break! But also, everything else too.

I've awarded this the Big Three. I have liked it, reposted it, and replied to it, albeit just with a summing up of what I've done.

No need to click on the needlessly worrying headline then - thank you :)

Blue Velvet is one of those songs I can't quite bring myself to believe anyone likes. I like lots from that era, but every element of this is awful

SO much more fun. I haven't watched the 1998 ones yet this week and there's a chance I might just skip them

I have no memory of it, but I think I prefer it to Vanilla Ice.

(I will stand by this, even if you remind me of one I like more)

Talking of 1990 albums, this is the best one

Since Betty Boo has been on TOTP again, a reminder that Boomania is absolutely, unironically, fucking brilliant.

After U Can't Touch This, I remember everyone at school being disappointed with this - MC Hammer, his friends and their chairs, all being dreary

Fun fact: the army frowned on Captain Hollywood's choice to appear on TOTP ("it just isn't done") and he found himself demoted to Private Hollywood within days.

I once wrote all the words to You Can Call Me Al on the back of a beer mat for someone. I wonder if they still have it. I wonder why it even happened
