It's the lack of authentic effort. Normally an individual would either ask a valued [human] confidant with possible life experience what the unspoken rule response might be, or just wing-it and come up with their own response and hope for the best.

As pathetic as it is to say, I don't actually have any of those. My parents would refuse, my teen thinks it's stupid, and my husband is afraid of needles. So it's just me watching my reflection stab itself while my brain both freaks out and yells at me to just get it over with.

I have an idea on how to avoid that for the next attempt so I can get it right. It's just mustering up the courage to push past the pain and the physical symptoms of shock that follow. 😮‍💨

And since even an experienced piercer is known to get it wrong once in a while, I figured I had a 50/50 shot of doing it right. My guess is the forceps I used flattened out too wide a space, and I couldn't really see my mark.

Well, I can't blame anyone but myself. I got too nervous to go to my usual shop and have it done, so I did it myself. I like my tattoo artist there, but the last time I got two cartilage piercings there the experience left a lot to be desired, and one of them ended up failing.

So my nose piercing ended up in the cartilage, and now it has to be taken out to heal. 😔 I'm so disappointed. I really liked it. All that pain and anxiety for nothing.

I think this is a pretty good idea, honestly. It's one thing to read or watch a video. But it's another to be going about your day then see one of these in some mundane place. It reinforces the gravity of the situation.

But then, the ancient Jedi texts offer a glimmer of hope: a long-forgotten Jedi temple on Tython that might hold the key to repairing Rey's saber. Rey leaps at the chance to journey there - and to her surprise, so does Leia.
Rey and Leia's nascent mentorship is put to the test when they discover the temple on Tython is filled with obscure clues to decipher and arcane trials to complete.As they work to unravel the temple's mysteries, they encounter a group of refugees living in its shadow, hiding from a First Order officer hot on the trail of two freedom fighters in their midst: With the threat of the First Order looming and the secrets of the temple yet to be unlocked, the newly forged master and apprentice must confront their pasts, reach each other in the present, and decide what it means to carry the legacy of the Jedi into the future.
