My response was to email my old PCP and ask him to recommend someone to replace her. I really want to fire her, but don’t want to jump blindly to yet another PCP.

Their clinic also doesn’t give pain meds. They told me to go back to my PCP for that. 🙄

PM&R doc says it’s greater trochanteric pain syndrome (GTPS).

He thinks the hip injection didn’t work — or feels like it didn’t — because the pain is coming from a different place.

He’s going to give me an injection is a different spot, but can’t do it until November because of the other shot. 😭

A last minute cancellation means I scored an appointment with PM&R for THIS MORNING!!! That’s freakin’ record time for this health system.

I’m trying really hard to stay positive about this, that this new doc will help me with my pain.

I joined our weekly PMO huddle and was chatting with people because we were all a little early. One of the PMs commented, “I love it when Ella joins a meeting. She just brings energy and joyful radiance with her and it’s infectious!”

I think it might be because I love my job. 😊

Worst part of a mammogram for me isn’t the squish. It’s the tearing of the under-boob skin from my chest wall as they manhandle my tits to get them on the plate.

Successfully got my mammogram today. It took a lot longer seated but we got it done.

That device was most definitely designed by a man. My real question though is why the fuck hasn’t someone invented a better alternative? There must be other options out there!

My therapist thinks I should write my autobiography because I’ve had to deal with extensive trauma and — with lots of work — I’ve come out the other side as a fully functioning and relatively happy adult.

He thinks I have things to teach people.

I’m still thinking about it.
