Welcome new followers! I am Abbaetha. I mostly follow historians, academics, authors and bookish types, crafters, and cooks. My feed is mostly breads, cakes, books, and crafts, which continues the theme. I like a quiet peaceful corner and that’s the goal of this account. No cat, but ferrets.

The bodice is weird and baggy because I couldn’t really do the right fit and the side lacings (both sides, for flexibility) mean it doesn’t have as much structure as it should. But as I said, I learned. I will do some tucks on it, probably.

Ok, I am doing this though I don’t love it. Here it is on.

Thank you! It was a lot of fun. If I were to do another I would do front-lacing, but without a muslin I wanted flexibility so I did side lacing on both sides.

I was going to do that cornered apron but I was using scrap muslin and it was getting messy around the edges so gathers instead.

Also, if you want to be sexy, that’s great! I’m a (non-sexy) baker. If it wouldn’t be annoying to clean I would dust myself with flour.
