Is there anyone here that's good at explaining audio codecs and could possible explain why Bandcamp's AAC/m4a files are at such low bitrates? Maybe my hearing is fucked but they sound nearly identical to 320kbps mp3s. The only advantage I can really see in this is that the files are much smaller.

Just had a series of dreams that were all loosely connected and I was aware of it happening and complained to someone at one point that I felt like I was disassociating the entire year away. Felt like someone flicking a light switch on and off over and over in my brain.

I felt the same way last week when I saw that a local annual car show used AI to announce a ‘youth car judging competition’ and the kids on the poster had extra arms holding clipboards and the classic car in the photo didn’t look quite right.

Personally Good Charlotte annoyed me because they hosted a show on MTV back in the day where they played mostly metal videos and would brag about their band. Imagine my surprise when they finally start to play their own music and it’s pop rock and I’m just confused as hell.
