Omg, this is amazing that you have a landline! We are seniors and had so much angst about getting rid of the landline, did it and didn't miss a beat. Getting rid of cable was scary, but it changed everything about watching tv, we are in control.

Gotcha, we are on the Washington State border, a 10 minute drive to cross into the USA. We cut the cord, cable sucks, they control you.

We no longer can do that, too many lines have been crossed. What have Americans done in support Canada, when our sovereignty has been threatened? Canadians think globally, Americans are nationalists and only concern themselves with domestic issues.

It's unsafe to go to America, but I'd be comfortable visiting China. The global economy is changing, we are distancing ourselves from America, developing new trade corridors and partners. Globally the Canadian "elbows up" movement has gone global, isolating and punishing America with our wallets.

Yup, we used to go every couple of weeks, go to Value Village, pick up parcels from Amazon, have lunch at the local buffet. As retirees it was a nice day trip. Never again.
