Yup, we used to go every couple of weeks, go to Value Village, pick up parcels from Amazon, have lunch at the local buffet. As retirees it was a nice day trip. Never again.

It needs to be a national grassroots movement, everyone on board, you refuse to buy corporate America. You don't "choose," you boycott all. In Canada the majority of us have stopped buying anything American, even removing US whiskey from our shelves, has put a lot of pressure on your government.

No, the rest of the world won't support you, we've moved on. Canada started it with the first grassroots movement 'Elbows up,' it's now gone global with activity boycotting everything American. Americans live in a bubble, and have no idea how the world has turned it's back on them.

You will need to do a lot more than a two day work stoppage. Grassroots movement, boycott American, only buy local. No Vegas, resorts, no corporations, no name brands. The world outside of America adopted Canada's 'elbows up' movement, and it's having a strong global impact.

Honestly there isn't a 'left' in America, you only have two parties. If a Democrat was to run in Canada, they would run as a fiscal Conservative. You will never have universal healthcare and a strong social safety net, Americans would never allow that.
