Typically, a company’s revenue, track record and market advantage drive valuations. But in the age of President Donald Trump’s promised nuclear revival, shareholders and backers see connections to the White House as the road to profitability. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
Kilowatts or connections? Trump’s favored nuclear start-ups soar to riches.

The 50 wealthiest families own more wealth than the bottom 50% of the population.

How can this Labour Government say this is a "cost of living" budget and refuse to tax the rich?

They care about protecting power and wealth. And cost of living is a buzz phrase for them. Dire.

Interesting framing. From whom did it originate. Especially given the undeniable fact that the two collaborating adversaries of Kyiv are atop any league table of the most corrupt governments on earth. (Putin and Trump.)
“For Ukraine’s partners, the taboo question now is not whether corruption is pervasive,” writes the former adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky. “But whether the current leadership is still part of the solution” econ.st/4olgKjA

Simon's 3-point analysis is on the nose.
Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.

Poignant. Tragic. Poignant and tragic.
Witkoff: "I told the president that you - that the Russian Federation has always wanted a peace deal. That’s my belief. I told the president I believe that."

What reason is there to think this? Unbelievable naiveté (at best) from a US envoy.
"Now, me to you, I know what it’s going to take to get a peace deal done: Donetsk and maybe a land swap somewhere."
-- Steve Witkoff, in his call to Putin aide Yuri Ushakov
