The cool thing about being an MSM oped writer is that your editors never expect you to have an original idea. It’s great if you come up with one, but it isn’t at all necessary.

Yes, Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize
His Gaza agreement, though still fragile, adds to an unprecedented peacemaking record.

Adventures in framing:

Headline presenting this as a real-world question. Rather than as another sign of deepening vortex of narcissistic delusion and detachment from reality.
Headline: Trump Has His Eyes on Nobel Prize. Will He Get It?

It’s not the Tylenol, you moron.

It’s the smoked-whitefish salad that the annoying uncle smears on the lips of that 8-day old boy.

RFK JR: There are many other confirmations -- there are two studies that show children who are circumcised early have double the rate of autism. It’s highly likely because they are given Tylenol

WSJ always had a big gulf between Opinion and News, but at least that edit page has an internal consistency to it. This one is all over the map, and not in an interesting heterodox way.

Today’s Washpost house editorial
The announcement that Israel and Hamas have agreed to President Donald Trump's plan to end the two-year war in Gaza could be the biggest diplomatic achievement of bis second term. Indeed, if the deal holds, Trump can legitimately bolster his claim to be a peacemaker worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize.
bgrueskin.bsky.social
Agreed. His editorials are so ineptly written that the latter makes a bit more sense. But both could be true.

I’m not saying that the Washpost’s new Opinion editor was sent on a mission destroy that section’s reputation.

I’m just saying that if someone were sent to destroy the Opinion section’s reputation, they’d be doing exactly what this guy is doing.

I spent more than a decade at The Post. It was good to me and I was proud to work there. I’ve largely refrained from being critical since I left. But this framing of the special counsel probe is embarrassing and flatly wrong. Stunning, but not. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
Opinion | Jack Smith’s lawfare and James Comey’s arraignment on pathetically weak charges
Good people will be deterred from public service if they see a meaningful risk of winding up in jail afterward.

Apart from helping Comey's selective prosecution defense, this also means the president of the United States uses direct messages on Truth Social to communicate with cabinet officials.

I didn't know that, but we can be sure intelligence agencies all over the planet already did.

You got me wondering. Data from statmuse dot com
Postseason Games	Homers	Homers per game
Giancarlo Stanton	47	18	0.38
Babe Ruth	41	15	0.37
Mickey Mantle	65	18	0.28
Aaron Judge	64	17	0.27
Bernie Williams	121	22	0.18
Derek Jeter	158	20	0.13

What possible reason could explain why Ruth or Mantle didn’t hit as many postseason homers as Jeter or Stanton? Guess they weren’t that good.

Remember that "Pam: I have reviewed ..." TruthSocial post from Trump, the one that looked a lot like a private message?

Yes, it was supposed to be a private message.

Trump "was surprised to learn it was public."

Bovino also says he can arrest you if "you're gripping the steering wheel so tightly that I can see the whites of your knuckles."
trumpwat.ch
Border Patrol's Gregory Bovino: "We need reasonable suspicion to make an immigration arrest. Notice I did not say probable cause, nor did I say I need a warrant? Perhaps you look panicked when you see a Border Patrol agent. Perhaps you look scared ..."

So they scare people and then can arrest them.
