A lot of you don’t realize this, but the gist of the Hanukkah story is that the Maccabees thought they had only enough concrete for a $50 million ballroom, but through a miracle, they built one worth $400 million
Trump now says his ballroom will cost $400 million (it was supposed to cost $250 million less than two months ago)

Venezuela must return the land that is Venezuelan land, and the oil that lies under Venezuelan land, to its rightful owner, the United States.

Otherwise, we have no option but to take the land and oil (which again, belongs to us and not to Venezuela).

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.

There’s a lot of evidence in this Susie Wiles interview that she knows she’s been the handmaiden for some awful, possibly criminal, policies, and she’s trying to assemble her own defense in advance of any future investigations.

Susie Wiles is one of the most brilliant political operators in the business, having guided DeSantis and then Trump to significant victories, and the idea that she doesn't know how 'on the record' worked is like saying a pilot doesn't know how to land a plane.
CNN suggests Susie Wiles might not have known she was on the record 😆

And since it's all on tape, Wiles can no longer deny she said what she said. She just has to say that "significant context was disregarded."

Because if there's one thing her boss is known for, it's making sure everything he says includes significant context.

For those of you wondering what Scott Turner thinks of Susie Wiles
Hilarious. The WH had all the Cabinet members simultaneously put out statements supporting Susie Wiles after the Vanity Fair article came out.

this is one of the things editors do, or are supposed to do: save you from yourself
NBC’s “National Law Enforcement Correspondent” reported not just the name of the uncharged “person of interest” in the Brown University murders, but also his DOB, and some allusions about his mental health.

The cops released this guy the same day they took him in.

After years of turmoil, Columbia’s trustees are still unable to recruit or agree upon a university president.

Which is, when it comes down to it, the most important part of their job.

This sounds like another CBS town hall in the making. Surrounded by some insipid, "see how good things happen when we all talk to each other" dialogue
One more example of "the Woke Right" narrative, where the right tries to frame members who have gone too far as actually sort of leftist. In Fuentes case, it is the overt nature of the anti-semitism. Dreher has no problem working for a govt whose leader (Orban) engages in dog-whistle anti-semitism.
